This adventure was in August 2011. The two older boys were nine, the youngest six. We walked  from Graig Wen campsite in Snowdonia, up some of Fox’s Path, to Llyn Cau lake and pitched the tents there, having arranged things meteorologically so that the boys could enjoy pelting rain and glorious evening sunshine within the space of a few moments. Wales didn’t fail us.

The next morning we climbed the last bit to the summit of Cadair Idris (693m) then headed back down Pony Path to luxury (=a bigger tent, dry socks and a hot shower).  The boys were tired and faintly perfumed with Eau de Outdoors; just how I like them. Thank goodness for a skilled navigator, proper kit and, of course, chocolate eclairs.Presented mostly by Stanley. Thanks Graeme.
