Cabin fever, various illnesses and a drizzly afternoon; we couldn’t stay in one moment longer, so I hauled the boys out for a quick scoot around the block. Not the most inspiring way to kill an hour, but I was scraping the barrel.

They found a boring old wall and a boring old hedge. They went into the hedge (of course) and found a nest all decorated with litter bunting and in that an empty sparrow (I think) egg, all perfect smooth aquamarine spottiness.

See what you can find in boring old hedges?

It broke before we got back from the scoot around the block. Of course.
